Urban Forge Shipping Policy

We offer free shipping of standard items to all 48 contiguous states. All beds include premium white glove delivery and assembly. Shipment of custom orders are handled on an individual basis. If you need to delay shipment of your crated order, holding fees will be incurred after a 30 day grace period. All orders are priced FOB Mountain View, Arkansas. Destination freight charges will be prepaid and added to your invoice unless shipping via third party billing.

 

Parcel Deliveries:

Small to some medium-sized items, when purchased independently from other items, will ship for free via a parcel carrier. Parcel carriers do not schedule deliveries in advance and do not require a signature upon delivery. If your order is shipped via a parcel carrier, it is your responsibility to inspect your new product thoroughly and notify us of any damage within 48 hours of receipt.

If damage occurs, document with photographs and retain packaging if possible.

 

White Glove Deliveries:

As a part of our commitment to quality, Urban Forge uses a third-party logistics company that specializes in delivering high-end furniture for the shipping of all large items as well as our White Glove installation of all our beds.Once shipped, orders are typically in transit for 5 to 20 business days. Once your shipment arrives at the terminal, you will be contacted by the shipping company to schedule a delivery window. The delivery date and window vary depending on individual shipping locations.

If you decline the first delivery window, please be prepared for the next available delivery date to be between 2-3 weeks from the originally proposed date.

The delivery company will call in advance to confirm your delivery date and drop-off window for when you can expect their team to arrive at your home. Delivery time windows can span over several hours, so be prepared to accept your shipment at any point within the time window given. If you are not home at the time you scheduled for your delivery, additional delivery charges will apply for redelivery and/or storage (see “additional charges” below). 

Please be prepared to inspect and sign for your furniture upon delivery. The delivery slip is a legally-binding document: once you sign it, we can assume no responsibility for damage found after delivery. In the rare event that your furniture does arrive damaged, please note the damage butdo not refuse delivery. Our delivery company is committed to fixing all superficial damages and working with us to resolve any shipping damage issues.

If, upon receiving your shipment, any damage has been noted, please communicate the same to Urban Forge within 48 hours. This will help us resolve any problems with your shipment in a timely manner. Retain packaging if possible.

White Glove Delivery does not include the removal or moving of old furniture. Please make sure your delivery space is clear and ready for your new furniture. Your furniture will be brought inside, assembled, and the packaging for any items assembled will be removed by the delivery team. It’s yours to enjoy from there!

Items shipped by Blue Truck that do not require assembly will be shipped via Threshold. The Threshold option will only be delivered into your room of choice. Assembly and removal of debris is not included with this option.

Certain items, such as swings, lighting, electrical, and items that may need to be secured to the wall/ceiling will be the responsibility of the customer. Delivery does not include installation of such items.

PLEASE NOTE: Furniture cannot be refused upon delivery if it does not fit through an entryway. It is your responsibility to ensure the furniture you order can fit in your home.

 

Additional applicable charges that may apply:

  • Reschedule charge - $199. Applies if the customer confirms delivery date, and then cancels delivery or reschedules after the outbound shuttle has departed. This applies if the customer fails to advise us in advance of restricted delivery hours and is unable to accommodate our standard 8a-8p delivery hours. Billed to consignee.

  • Limited Access pickup/delivery - Deliveries are conducted via 26’ box truck:

    • Long driveway or limited access road (hand carry required) - $50 or $199/hr, whichever is greater. If hand carry is not possible, items will be delivered to the furthest most accessible area.

    • Apartment delivery, long walk (more than 75 feet between unit and elevator) - $50

    • Military base, limited access facility, or unattended delivery - $75

    • Ferry - If a destination surcharge does not populate during booking, ferry service must be quoted individually on a case by case basis.

  • Furniture re-arrangement at delivery - Moving furniture not being delivered (for example, an existing sofa or bed) is not included in the delivery service. For minor requests the crew is often able to take care of in exchange for a gratuity. Larger requests should be noted in advance at time of booking. Re-arrangement is billed at $129/hr with advance notice; $159/hr without advance notice. Minimum one hour. Billed to consignee.

  • Four man charge - $250. A revisit charge may apply if the delivery company was not provided sufficient information in advance (narrow staircase, multiple flights of stairs, unusual access situation, etc.) to determine that four personnel were required at delivery.

  • Door removal (to facilitate delivery) - $100

  • Stairs - $60 per flight after 1st flight

  • Storage - Applies after two subsequent delivery dates have been declined and order has been tendered to the delivery company for at least 21 days. $50 per significant item, rounded to the nearest month.

  • Freight Rejection - Return charge at standard shipping rate. $300 additional fee applies if done without BTL dispatch approval.

  • Reconsignment - Delivery address change post routing - $25 plus any excess mileage.
