A Bed Worth Waiting For!

"When I tell you that I've had my eye on this bed for years, I'm not exaggerating. Having seen it pop up online for years, I recently decided that I deserved a rather large treat for myself and ordered the king-size bed. First things first, I'm not usually a fan of ordering over the phone but the team at Urban Forge was friendly, knowledgeable without ever pushing add-ons, and took the time to answer the questions I had about the order and shipping process. They were kind enough to send me finished samples when I really could not choose between two options, so I had a chance to see them in different lighting before making my final choice (it was gold, which they did recommend and were so right about). Despite ordering during winter, when a snowstorm delayed production, I was still impressed with the turnaround time and it arrived sooner than I expected. It was incredibly easy to put together with just two people and it looks stunning once assembled. I also want to give them a shout-out because part of the canopy on the footboard had some damage in shipping and customer service immediately ordered me an entire new footboard! I'm in love with this bed, and I appreciate knowing that if something were to ever happen to it, Urban Forge would be there to help out."

Blessed

"My beautiful bed came today!!! The guy that delivered it, only 22 years old helped us uncrate it. It took me all afternoon to put it together ( no fault of your company) but oh my goodness it is just what I wanted!!! It's beautiful!!! I just wanted to say what an absolute pleasure the whole process has been. You were wonderful!!! John is so talented and even the delivery guy( whom I assume you folks have no control over) was lovely. I am blessed and I thank you all!!!"

Q&A

How much does the queen weigh? It would be tough to maneuver that getting that up our stairs, but we could lift it up over our outside balcony if we had some help and bring it in through our sliding door. We’d need to know how many people we’d need. Also, we live on an island off the West Coast. It’s about an hour and a half by ferry. Would we still be able to have that delivered? We can set it up ourselves.
Greetings, This queen bed weighs around 200-220lbs altogether. They do delivery over ferry, but please be advise via our policy any added fees due to ferry would fall to the client. We would be delighted to discuss the details. Reach out to us at 1-800-380-4766.
When you say that the overall clearance for a bed to go through a doorway is 83 x 78 x 3, and the headboard and footboard are one piece, does that mean that the opening has to be 78 inches wide and 83 inches tall? As no doorway that I know of is that wide..... Thanks and kind regards, Deana
Greetings! Great question, and you’re absolutely right to ask for clarification. The 83 x 78 x 3 inches listed is not the size your doorway needs to be. It’s simply the maximum overall dimensions of the largest piece (the headboard or footboard) so customers know what they’ll be maneuvering through their space. Because the headboard and footboard are crafted as one piece, they don’t fold or break down, but they can be tilted, angled, and rotated through a doorway. That’s why the opening does not need to be 78 inches wide or 83 inches tall. Standard doorways work fine as long as there’s enough room to angle the piece.
What is the height of the bed’s canopy?
Greetings Alex, I hope you and yours are doing well. The overall height of the Forest Canopy bed is around 83". I hope this helps, reach out if we can be of further assistance in any way!
